Your Bio

My name is Kevin Maloney I have been a volunteer firefighter with the Budd Lake New Jersey Volunteer Fire Department since 1991. Over the years I have held every fire officer position in the fire service and currently hold the office of Fire Chief for the Budd Lake Fire Department. My passion for fire photography started in 1992 and over the years have photographed many emergency scenes, documenting the heroic men and women of the emergency services. I currently am a member of the New Jersey Metro Fire Photographers Association which I joined in 1992, the International Organization of Fire Photography and a correspondent for Fire News a monthly publication that is dedicated to the fire service as well as magazines like Firehouse and Fire Engineering. © All Rights Reserved - No Usage of ANY image on this website is allowed in any form or ANY manner without the written or verbal consent of Fire-46-Photography. Chester Pleasent Hill Rd. 12/7/09 : Two People Injured in Chester House Fire

Around 2:30 am Monday morning December 7th the Chester fire company responded to 212 Pleasant Hill Road for the reported house fire. Upon arrival heavy fire was coming from the garage and second floor area of the house, Chief Feller requested Flanders, Roxbury and Fairmount fire companies as well as a Tender task force do to the lack of fire hydrants in the area. Chester’s first due engine and Flanders Tower Ladder were set up in the driveway and crews started to attack the fire and keep the fire from spreading to the other half of the large million dollar home. The homeowner and her son were taken to Morristown Hospital for smoke inhalation. The fire was brought under control within one hour but crews remained on scene through out the morning. Sadly at least 9 cats were killed in the blaze. The fire is under investigation by the Chester police, Morris County Prosecutors office. Photo's By Kevin Maloney

Two Cats Rescued in Budd Lake Blaze : Saturday morning September 12th the Budd Lake Fire Department responded to 11 Timberline Ave. For the house fire. Chief Maloney arrived and reported a one story dwelling with smoke showing. Engine 53 stretched and inch and three quarter line and started knocking down the fire in the basement as Squad 56 started searches as there were reports of someone trapped in the house but after the searches were completed it was determined all were out of the house. Two cat in the home were rescued during the search. There were no hydrants in the area so a tender task force was despatched to the scene to supply water for the fire. There were no injuries at the fire and it is under investigation by the Mt. Olive Police and Fire Marshals office. Photo's By Kevin Maloney

Netcong Makes Quick Work of Commercial Building : Thursday afternoon the Netcong Fire Department responded to 134 Rt. 46 for the building fire. Firefighters found a fire in the rear of a vacant store with apartments in the rear. Firefighters made an aggressive attack and knocked down the fire before it spread to the rest of the building. Mutual aid was called from Budd Lake, Stanhope Bryam, Roxbury and Flanders fire companies. The fire damage two apartments and a basement storage area. Rt 46 was closed down for 2 hours as firefighters worked the fire.  Photos By Kevin Maloney
